When I was at 15, I thought computer virus are brutal being and look like ameba, that effect directly to computer hardware and let it down. Ha Ha Ha..
I am not sure all of you are like me. ;) . Now as a Software developer, I would like to describe the virus and it?s after effects here
Virus is program like other Software programs (Music Player, Games etc.) but it is unwanted. When we open software it uses RAM Storage space and Processor. We open computer for execute programs that we needed. When a virus program attacks our System, It consumes our precious RAM Storage and Processor Time and let our needed processes work slowly
In any computer, Programs are executed from Processor and Processor can fetch Data only from RAM. Performance of a computer is based on Processor Speed and RAM storage space. Dual core processor with 4GB RAM can perform well than Core i3 Processor with 2GB RAM because processor can execute the program even only it loads on RAM.
In Windows we can check Physical Memory (RAM) usage and CPU usage by opening Task Manager, also we can see the number of Processes execute from our system and its memory usage in Processor tab.
How to know a computer got virus attack??
One method is looking Process count .A Normal computer having only 40-50 processes initiated by the system itself. But in the same case, a virus affected system has more than 50 processes. We can find it through Task Manager. If we open different soft wares, the processes count may vary.
Another method is comparison the speed now and before with our previous experience with that computer.
