April 2nd 2011 probably the best day for the cricket lovers its 2017 now 6 years have been past but the feel is still young that day that night whole India was celebrating it was like diwali came pretty early it was the carnage all the prayers, emotions, happiness, joy were out even Indian players couldn?t hide their emotions even the calmest captain had a blink of a moment. So many years passed as I am typing at 2011 I was just a teenage guy just entered my collage life and now I am working but as cricket lover that memory is still young. A lot has changed since then a whole new Indian cricket team has taken over that world cup meant lot to us and players, It was the first time India had balanced team the experience with a blend of youth. As I went to flash back many things have changed after world cup our childhood players got retired and new players have took place. As I remember our team was strong but was still in doubt our top 3 Sachin, Shewag, Gambhir had flew back to India from South Africa for fitness issues, Yuvi had just made comeback and his inclusion the team was in doubts Dhoni was not in the best of his form, suresh rain was little bit down on confidence though yusuf had fantastic series against southafrica, Zaheer fitness was also a question could he survive for the entire world cup, and will nehra and munaf patel will deliver. Keeping all the questions behind the team started their World cup against Bangladesh all the memories of 2007 came back when India got defeated but this time it was not going to repeat India defeated Bangladesh thanks to shewag and kholi centuries. Then came match against England India posted good total but lost too many wickets at the end , England started of their innings quite brilliantly at the mid end many thought we had lost the match but then came the game changing over by Zak how many times he has done this for India, eventually the match got tied then India won against Ireland and Netherlands and lost to South Africa and they won the final game against the west indies of the group stage. But the real game just started the quarter-final against the defending champions Australia, from that match Indian team looked totally different they had the hunger to win the world cup. Dhoni had brought in the ashwin in team and it worked he got the scalped of the Shane Watson early in the innings as at the one end wickets kept tumbling but the Australian captain stood right and they posted a good total. India had lost shewag early but the pair of sachin and gambhir hold on together but all of sudden 3 wickets fell and Australia was back in the game but then cam yuvi boy it was his night that knock just made the flashback of what he had done to them against T20 worldcup 2007 and he had equally got support from Suresh raina hitting that six to Brett lee India won the match and we were a step closer to the Cup. Then a match where everyone emotions comes out the intensity, pressure, all was seen India vs Pakistan. In this match India batted first they lost too many wickets but there was one man the master himself was standing and he was playing like a warrior because he had knew this was his last time to grab that glory of World cup India posted a good total and eventually with the help of bowling they won the match and it was a step way. The match all were eagerly waiting the final India vs Srilanka .They posted a good competitive total in the final the pressure was on India. Second innings started we lost shewag and sachin quickly and all hopes were down as soon as sachin was out many tv got switch off many got back to their work but the fate had something else, Two delhi boys were up and fighting and made good partnership just as when things began looking good another setback Kohli got out, and then came the surprise Dhoni ahead of Yuvraj , He hadn?t had the best of the world cup but it was his night as he had said in post match he had not to prove to anyone but to himself and boy in what way he had proved. That six that commentary of Ravi Shastri still gives us goose bump, as dhoni had launched the balls over the sky all things were halted till it reaches its destinations and we were waiting for that moment to arrive to get blown aways in our happiness madness and jump of our feet and when the ball landed a carnage a festival happen that night was the longest night of celebration many had set the match on loop. Everyone was celebrating in a different way. As the memories was unfold coming back to present many things have changed Kohli is the captain, the Master is not playing though his chanting will continue forever, No dashing shewag, no Zaheer and bhajji, no raina and yuvi but they can still make come back but as far as 90?s kid we will always miss this team and 2011 World cup would be the best thing happen and we could tell to our future generation that we lived this moment?.. One last thing ?Dhoni finishes off in style. A magnificent strike into the crowd! India lift the World Cup after 28 years!..
